Adding/Editing Days Off

How do I get to this page?

  1. Log in to Renaissance.
  2. On the Home page, select your name in the upper-right corner. In the drop-down list, select Manage Apps & Users.

  3. On the Manage Apps & Users page, select    School Calendar.

  4. On the School Calendar page, select the Days Off tab.
  5. Select Add Days Off to add a new day off, or select Edit in the row for an existing day off to edit it.

Who can do this with default user permissions?

District Level Administrators, District Staff, School Level Administrators, School Staff

You can use days off to record holidays, non-teaching days, and other occasions when school is not in session. Renaissance uses this information to calculate the number of actual school days in the school year or a reporting period; this number is used in calculations in some reports.

Adding Days Off

  1. Enter a name for the days off in the Name field .

  2. Select the Date Range field and enter start and end dates for the days off, either by typing them in the date fields or selecting them from the scrollable calendars .

    For a single day off, select the actual day off for the start date and leave the end date blank.

  3. When you are done choosing dates, select Apply (or Cancel to close the calendar without saving your choices).
  4. Use the link next to Schools Using to choose which schools the days off should apply to.



    You can apply them to all schools by selecting All Schools , or you can choose Select Schools and then check the schools you want the days off to apply to . When you are done, select Apply (or Cancel to close this pop-up without saving your changes).
  5. Select Add .



    The days off will be added to the table at the bottom of the page . If necessary, you can select Edit to make changes to the days off, or Delete to delete them.
  6. Select Save to save the days off (or Cancel to leave this page without saving your changes).

Editing Days Off

You can make changes to any of the information defining days off.

  1. Change the name for the days off in the Name field .

  2. Select the Date Range field and enter new start and/or end dates for the days off, either by typing them in the date fields or selecting them from the scrollable calendars .

    For a single day off, select the actual day off for the start date and leave the end date blank.

  3. When you are done choosing dates, select Apply (or Cancel to close the calendar without saving your choices).
  4. Use the link next to Schools Using to change which schools the days off should apply to.



    You can check different schools that you want the days off to apply to , or you can apply them to all schools by selecting All Schools . When you are done, select Apply (or Cancel to close this pop-up without saving your changes).
  5. Select Save to save the changes to the days off (or Cancel to leave this page without saving your changes).



    Once you save your changes, they will be reflected in the table at the bottom of the page . If necessary, you can select Edit to make changes to the days off, or Delete to delete them.
