Star Reading and Home Connect

District Level Administrators, School Level Administrators
Home Connect is a way for students to see their progress and Star Reading scores. Email updates are a way for parents to have their childrens' Star Reading test results sent to them every time the student takes a test.
Using the Home Connect Email Preference, district level administrators and school level administrators can let parents sign up to receive emails when their children complete a Star Reading test. Teachers can generate Send Home Letters for their students' parents, giving them instructions on how to access Home Connect and how to sign up to receive email notifications.
Parents or guardians can also sign up to receive email notifications by having their child log in to Renaissance and then selecting Get Email Updates on the Home page. Note that you must sign up for each of your children separately—ask each child to sign in and select the link to sign up for emails for that child.
Most students who have taken a Star Reading assessment will see their test score and Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) when they log in to Home Connect. Primary students are unable to see Star Reading test scores.
