Student Record Report

The Student Record Report shows individual student progress on each level that the student has worked on.

For each student, the report shows:

  • the student's name, class, teacher, and grade
  • information about the student's current level, including the date, score, and time for the last test, mastery goal, number of practices completed, and number of tests
  • the mastered levels, including the start dates, dates mastered, mastery time goals, number of school days taken to master the level, number of practices, number of tests, best time (and best time date), and number of best time attempts
  • A summary with the total number of levels mastered, the average number of days it has taken the student to master a level, and the average number of practices and tests the student has taken per level

When you generate this report, you can choose these options:

  • Which students or classes to include
  • Which reporting parameter group to use, if any (this allows you to include students by school enrollment date, ethnicity, gender, language, characteristics, and/or grade)
  • Which reporting period to include (a predefined or custom date range)
  • Whether to insert a page break after each student
  • Whether to include a Practice Summary of work done in Renaissance Home Connect (and/or previous work done on NEO 2 and Renaissance Responder - student work on these devices is no longer supported)
  • Whether to sort by level or date mastered
  • Whether to show only the mastered objective section of the report (if the Only display the Mastered Objective section box is checked, only students that have mastered at least one level will appear on the report)
  • Whether to print a list of the selected options on the report. The list appears on the first page of the report, under Report Options. By default, this box is checked.

Select Students

Choose the classes or students to include. The classes that are available are based on your position; you may be able to include one (or all) of your classes or one (or all) of the classes at your school. By default, all of your MathFacts in a Flash classes will be in the report.

To select an individual class, select the drop-down list and choose one of the classes in the list.

To select more than one class, select Classes. Then, check the box next to each class that you want to include. To select all of the classes in a column, check the Class box at the top of the column. When you're done, select Save Selection.

To select specific students, select Students. Then, check the box next to each student you want to include. To select all of the students in a column, check the Student box at the top of the column. When you're done, select Save Selection.

Reporting Parameter Group

Reporting parameter groups allow you to include only those students who meet certain criteria. Select the drop-down list and choose a group that you have created. The default is All Demographics, which includes students from all the demographic groups.

If the group that you want is not in the list, select Create New or Edit Selected. When you do this, you can create or change groups based on students' enrollment date, ethnicity, gender, language, characteristics, and/or grade.

Reporting Period

Use this option to choose the time period you want to report on.

To choose one of the more common date ranges used in reports, select the Predefined Date Range drop-down list and select the date range you want to use. You'll see the school year, the school marking periods, and a list of commonly used time periods.

To specify a different time period, choose Custom Dates. Then, select the blank fields and enter the start and end dates for the time period. You can also select the calendar buttons to choose the dates.

Page Break

Check the box if you want a page break after every student. The default is no page break (the box is not checked).

Include Practice Summary

Choose whether to include a practice summary for students using Renaissance Home Connect (and/or previous work on Renaissance Responder and NEO 2) for offline practice. Note that student work on Renaissance Responders and NEO 2 is no longer supported. Check the practice that you want to include (one, both, or neither).

Sort By

Choose whether to sort the report information by level (the default setting) or by the date when students mastered a level.
