Editing the Mandatory Practice Preference

Who can do this with default capabilities?

District Administrator, School Administrator, Teacher

Note: District staff and school staff can view the setting, but they cannot change it.

The Mandatory Practice preference allows you to require your students to complete a practice after failing the first test at a new level. With the default setting, students are required to practice after the first test on a level.

This preference affects students working in MathFacts in a Flash at school. It does not affect students working in Renaissance Home Connect.

To edit the preference:

    1. On the Home page, select Other Math & Reading Apps.
    2. On the next page, select MathFacts in a Flash; then, select Preferences.
  1. If necessary, use the School and Class drop-down lists to choose the school and class.
  2. Under the Classroom Preferences, select Mandatory Practice.
  3. Check the box if you want to require a practice when the student fails the first test for a level.
  4. To return to the default setting (practice is required), select Default.

  5. Select Save.
