Getting Ready for the New School Year

After your administrator sets up your school year dates, personnel, students, courses, and classes, do the following to prepare to use MathFacts in a Flash in your new school year:

  1. For each MathFacts in a Flash class and/or MathFacts in a Flash teacher, be ready to provide the students with their user names and passwords.
  2. Renaissance Home Connect: If you are using Renaissance Home Connect, make sure that a school administrator or district administrator has set up and activated Renaissance Home Connect for your schools.
  3. Print the Renaissance Home Connect Informational Letters for the parents of your MathFacts in a Flash students.

    1. On the Home page, select Other Math & Reading Apps.
    2. On the Other Math & Reading Apps page, select MathFacts in a Flash, then Assignment Book.
    3. If necessary, use the drop-down lists to choose a school and class.

    1. On the Home page, select Other Math & Reading Apps.
    2. On the Other Math & Reading Apps page, select MathFacts in a Flash, then Assignment Book.

    5. Make changes to the target date and grade-level benchmarks as needed.

For more information, see Editing the Benchmarks Preference.

  5. Be prepared to provide your students with the web address of MathFacts in a Flash Renaissance Place and/or Renaissance Home Connect.

If you want to print from the tablets, you will need to work with your school's Technology/Computer Coordinator.

On tablets, additional printer setup may be required in order to print the report. The ability to print from a tablet depends on the type of tablet being used, the type of printer being used, and/or the program or system being used to connect the tablet to a printer.
