Who can do this with default capabilities?
District Administrator, School Administrator, Teacher
When you start using MathFacts in a Flash with a class, the levels are ordered by strand in increasing complexity: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc. However, you may want to change that order to follow the teaching in your class. Follow the steps below to change the level order for your class.
- On the Home page, select Other Math & Reading Apps.
- On the next page, select MathFacts in a Flash; then, select Assignment Book.
The Assignment Book page opens. Use the drop-down lists to choose the desired school and class.
On the left side of the page, under Manage Levels, select Reorder.
- The Reorder Levels page opens and lists the levels available to the class. Check the box by the level(s) you want to move.
To move the level(s) up or down one or more positions in the list, select the appropriate field, delete the number, and type the number of positions you want the level(s) moved. Then, select Move Up or Move Down.
To move the level(s) to a specific position in the list, select the Move To field and type the position you want the level in. If you chose more than one level, this will be the position of the first one (numerically) that you chose. Then, select Move To.
If you choose more than one level, the group of levels moves as a single unit. For example, the original order is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Select levels 3, 4, 5, and 6. Move them up one level. The new order is 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 2, and 7.
Select Save, or, to return all the levels to the order they were in when the software was installed, select Default. You will return to the Assignment Book page.
The Original Order column shows the original order the levels were installed in.
The Benchmarks Set for Mastery Table shows the benchmark levels set for each grade at your school and the target date. For more information, see Editing the Benchmarks Preference.
