-
You can choose to go to the Libraries page or directly to the Assignment Book or Extended Response page. Be sure to choose the school and/or class if necessary. If you are in the Assignment Book, choose the group if necessary.
-
If you went to the Assignment Book, and the class or group has no objective list assigned, the page will ask which list you will use. Click An existing objective list; then, click Select. If an objective list was already assigned, and you want to choose a different one, click Manage Objectives on the left side of the page.
If you went to the Extended Response page, and the class has no objective list assigned, click Add Objectives under the drop-down lists. If an objective list was already assigned, and you want to choose a different one, click Manage Objectives on the left side of the page. On the Manage Objectives page, click Select/Copy Existing List.
If you went to the Libraries page, click Manage Objectives on the left side of the page. On the Manage Objectives page, click Assign/Copy Existing List.
-
On the next page, you can select a list to use for your class. If you are on the Assign/Copy Objective List page, this page may ask you to choose a list type. If so, click Standard or Extended Response.
-
In the List Selection row, click an option to choose the type of list you want to select. Then, click the drop-down list and choose a list.
Library lists are created when your libraries were installed; they include all objectives from the library in the default order, and they cannot be changed. Shared lists are created by administrators and shared with teachers. My Lists are the lists you have created, which are not available to others.
If you plan to use online assignments, choose a list with objectives from a second-edition (2E) or Common Core library. Although you can use first-edition libraries with online assignments, the 2E and Common Core libraries provide the best performance.
-
If you are on the Assign/Copy Objective List page, you must choose the class. In the Class row, click the Class option; then, click the drop-down list and choose the class that you want to use the list.
-
To use the list you selected without copying it, click Use selected list without changes in the List Options.
To make a copy of the list and use the copy for the selected class, click Make a copy of the list. Then, click in the blank provided for the list name and type a name for the copy of the list. If you are an administrator, decide whether to share the list and click one of the options provided.
-
Click Save to save your list selection. You will return to the Manage Objectives page.
